SARS and Orientation Week

I am a bit behind on updating the blog and it's mostly because Ali has been sick with SARS for the past week.
Well, now that she's better I'm thinking it wasn't SARS but it was the only thing I could find on the internet that fit her symptoms. (hehehe... Jimmy hates it when I internet-diagnose.)
It also was the first thing I looked up... and the last.
But really, if you saw all these people walking around with masks on and then your baby got sick with a high fever and wouldn't wake up for days, wouldn't you think it was SARS?... oh, and you're also in SARS' birthplace.
At any rate, she has miraculously healed from SARS or never had it.
The good news is that Ali is better and has almost completely mastered the fine art of opening all drawers and cupboard doors in the apartment.
----{VIDEO COMING TOMORROW....when the students are out of the building and the internet isn't bogged down}-------
On to orientation week. This took place the week before Jimmy's trip. It was a week of interesting seminars, delicious food and cool sites. One seminar took place in this building, the Park Hyatt/Shanghai World Financial Center. It is the tallest building in China.
View from the room they were in.
Students waiting for the seminar to begin.
Jimmy and some of the guys enjoying the food.

This was by far my favorite story from the week: Jimmy went into the restroom and noticed these buttons by the toilet. He could not figure out what all of them were for. He decided to push one of them to see what happened. What happened was he ended up with water squirting his pants. I don't think he pushed anymore buttons.
