The Royal Wedding!

There was tea, cucumber sandwiches and a princess!
Thanks to Mom's fancy dishes we had a delicious brunch.
They added just the right touch!
She would have really made it fancy if she were here!
I remember the day of Princess Diana's funeral, Mom had the TV on for the coverage all day. It still brings a tear to her eye.
Of course, this is a happy day, but Mom would be proud of us bringing a bit of the royal family event into her home.
We had such a splendid time celebrating the royal wedding at our house!
The girls wore tiaras and the boys wore hats... except Adam, he said his glasses were enough.
Adam said the only way he made it through it was being able to have his computer.
Jimmy was in pain as he waited for us to finish the food.... and as soon as he ate, he was gone!
But we're proud of him for staying in the same room as us!
Erick was a bit more into of our fancy brunch!
And it's no surprise that Melissa and I were the most excited attendees!
What a perfect day, a beautiful wedding and a fun tea party!

Easter With Our Little Bunny!

We started Easter with a delicious breakfast...then found our Easter baskets and candy!

We are so grateful that our Savior lived and died for us! What a wonderful day and a beautiful season to celebrate His resurrection!

1/2 of a year!!

Our baby is
6 months old!!
We absolutely LOVE this little girl! She has been the sunshine in our lives for the past six months and we are so glad she joined our family! We can't believe it's already been half a year and can't imagine our lives without her!
Updates:
We took Ali swimming and she loved it even more than we thought she would! It was the cutest thing in the world and we can't wait to take her again!
She is an eating champ! In addition to the foods mentioned last month she eats prunes, carrots, peas, sweet potatoes, watermelon, strawberries and pears (the last 3 are her favorites!)!

She is getting so good at sitting up and she now goes from a sitting position forward onto all fours. Maybe this month she will attempt crawling!

Favorite activities: riding with her daddy in the Ranger and reading books.

Two things that she does all day long: babble and stick her tongue out. We have tried to record these things but every time the camera turns on she stops and stares at it. One thing we have been able to get is this cute thing she does with her mouth.
Ali is getting SO active! She is to the stage where if she wants something she practically lunges at it with her full body and you're just glad you were holding onto her enough. It's fun to see her personality develop!

She weighs 17.1 pounds

Coming up next week: an all day car trip to Mississippi... please, pray for us!!!

Ali's First Day at the Beach!

What a great day! We had SO much fun taking Mary Alice to the beach for the first time! She loves water, wind and being outside so it was the perfect outing for her!

Jimmy and I have spent many Saturdays on this beach but this was the best so far! We love experiencing these firsts with this sweet girl!

Relief!!

Ali started eating solids last week and is LOVING it! I think I had mentioned that we tried them about a month ago and it seemed a little early. It is very clear that she is ready now! She loves eating and is getting so good at it! It's amazing how quickly these little ones catch on. We started her on rice cereal since we had heard that it was very easy to digest but then we were starting to worry that her pipes were plugged! I felt for bad for her because she is usually very regular. After two days of prunes (thanks for the tip Aunt Annie!) it ALL came out! This little girl has never been happier in her whole life!!The flavor was a new experience and she made some really funny faces!
