Babies are growing everywhere!

We love babies! Most of the women in our lives are having babies this year! We have 15 family members/friends that will have a little one by December! Yesterday we spent the afternoon at Ann's baby shower. Ann is Jimmy's younger sister and she is having a little girl on the 24th of April. She received a lot of darling gifts that I'm sure Baby Warner will love! We also stopped by their house on our way back to Art City to see the little nursery they have been working on. I'm SO sad I didn't take in the camera because it is adorable! Ann made all of the bedding for the crib and covered a glider/rocker. Maybe I'll have her send us a photo to upload so you can see it. She is so talented and crafty, which works out perfectly for me because I have 24 yards of fabric for a nursery that I would like to use. We will be having a craft day before the move for sure!

Have you heard about our NEW ARRIVAL!!!???

Maybe you haven't heard about the new addition to our family... isn't he just beautiful!? I neglected to share one of the most wonderful experiences we had on our California trip. We visited one on my favorite people, Mary. Some of you may know her as the Witch Doctor! She lives in Delano and is a magical, healing person who lives on a farm. We got to hang out with her goats and I think we fell in love. I would love to get some goats and chickens, a little garden, and then start weaving my own wool to knit sweaters. Jimmy has agreed to let me start a little farm when we get to Texas. Yee-haw!!!Mary insisted that I wear this hat because of my cold. I'm convinced that she knit it herself.

California and a little trip to V-town

Jimmy had a business trip in California over Lover's Day weekend so I decided to go along for the ride. As some of you know I spent many of my younger years in Visalia, California. That is located in the delicious, agricultural San Joaquin Valley. We spent a couple days at the World Ag show in Tulare, a day in Visalia (plenty of time to see all the sites in V-Town) and then skipped over to Pismo beach for a couple days. Besides the fact that I had my CRAZY online class and a cold consuming my life, it was good to get away. It was also a very valuable learning experience for us. We learned the value of a dollar. Aside from our honeymoon, this was the first vacation we have paid for all by our grown-up-selves. Let's just say we don't feel the need to skip over to Europe anytime soon.

Have you seen these trees? These are the Giant Sequoias and they're amazing!
It was a little windy and maybe we didn't find any skilled photographers to take our photos the whole time we were in California. Where have all the artsy people gone?

The stars at night, are big and bright...

DEEP IN THE HEART OF TEXAS. And that's where we're moving! Jimmy and Julie will be taking the Newton Nest on down to Texas in June. We will be living on the north side of Houston and will get there just in time for what my dad calls the three Hs: heat, humidity, and hurricanes. Should be super fun. Why don't ya'll come on down for a visit?!
