Easter at the Newton's
Those of you who know Helen, know that holidays are no small thing at the Newton home. Easter was certainly no exception. Clearly she spent months planning the events of the weekend and they did not disappoint! We enjoyed the regular traditions of following the M&M trail while singing Peter Cottontail to the living room, opening our baskets, spelling our names with the candy and using the grass form our Easter baskets as chest (or armpit) hair. I sat out on that last one. Then there were the games! Each game goes with the holiday and 99.9% of the time include a costume of some sort! One of my favorites was when we bounced on these blow-up bouncy things around cones and tried to collect raw eggs, which were placed on top of the cones. The person who finished with the least amount of cracked eggs won. You should try it! It was a hoot! The best was watching Jim and David compete! One of the games that we played required pantyhose. The guys got a little carried away and have now decided to go into the bank-robbing business.
