Living the life...TEXAS style!

We love our new place! For those of you who went to our old house, it's quite a change. It's brand new, as opposed to 1940s quaintness. We really like it... and there are other openings!!! Anyone looking for a change? Get down here! There's a beautiful pool, gym, and cute apartments!

New DO!!!

What better way to begin your 28th year than with a new hair do! I don't know what possessed me! I went with Melissa to get her bangs trimmed and the lady had an opening so I chopped my hair off! It feels great to do something a little crazy sometimes, doesn't it!?

Party!

For my birthday on the 25th, we went to the most DELICIOUS restaurant in the Galleria. WOW! If you have a Maggianos in your area, GET THERE, and get there quick! And may I recommend the CHOCOLATE CAKE! http://www.maggianos.com/
Jimmy and I have big plans to become professional beach bums. We went to Galveston several weeks ago, were not well equipped, and paid the price with our blistered skin. Next time we'll be prepared! Jimmy got this sweet set up for my birthday! Thanks Jimmy!!! Can't wait to get down there next weekend!!

Happy Birthday to ADAM!

One of the benefits of living in Houston is being so close to my twin ADAM! Though we have 5 years between us we practically have the same brain! I'm glad we can be here to hang out when he comes down from his home in College Station. Today, for example, I texted him while watching one of our favorite shows to let him know I was in the middle of a BURN NOTICE marathon.... He, of course, was watching it too!
For his birthday on June 19th, we went to his favorite restaurant, Texas Land and Cattle, and then to watch Star Trek.
Happy Birthday, Bud! We love you!

And the third sweet girl was born on June 17th to Annie and Ben.

We just love each of them to pieces! Aren't nieces and nephews the best?!

The move!

I will admit I was a little nervous driving cross country in a huge truck while towing a vehicle.... but it was actually REALLY fun and NON-EVENTFUL just the way we like it!

We saw some interesting parts of this fine country we live in. Some of them were scarier than others. May I suggest not stopping for gas in Shiprock, New Mexico. You may never be heard from again!
Oh, and if you're staying in Gallup, don't stay downtown along the railroad tracks where ALL the hotels are... oh, and the TRAINS!!
We loved playing with our new camera along the way (and since)! THANK YOU Jim and Helen!! We love it!!

18 Months??? What??!!!

The amazing, talented, beautiful, fantastic MELISSA returned from her mission today!! I can't believe that it's been 18 months! It seems like only yesterday I was balling my eyes out in the MTC!
I haven't spoken to her yet because I figure she's trying to figure out this whole America, English thing, but I will be calling her shortly. I just wanted to take a moment to say how proud we are of her for finishing her mission and serving well! She was serving in the Rosario, Argentina mission. AND... her time as a nun is over so let's bring on the dates! This girl is foxy!! Give her a call!

Calling all shoppers!!!

This Saturday, we will be hosting the 2nd Annual Spring Yard Sale!!! (Ha! Only the 2nd!) As you may have heard, Jimmy and I are moving to Houston and are planning on unloading as much as we can before we pack. You know Christie? Well, she's gong to be bringing over some goods to sell before moving off to Dallas this summer. My crafty neighbor may also be contributing! So come on over and check it out!!!
Don't live in Utah? That's ok, tell your Utah friends.
Have something you've been wanting to sell? Bring it to our house and add it to the loot!
See you Saturday from 7- noon!!
