Grandma Newton

A couple weeks ago, Jimmy's sweet grandmother came to Texas for a cousin's mission farewell. We just love her to pieces and were happy that we got to spend a little time with her. She came out to the house for a couple hours on Friday and Jimmy loved taking her around in the ranger to all the different spots on the property. They love being together.

This little piggy went to market...

This is a picture my dad sent me of a wild boar shot and killed in Conroe. Conroe is 45 minutes from my back yard! When my parents first moved here they had a problem with wild boars, but to my knowledge they never saw any this big. SO.... am I convincing some of you to come for a visit? Many more south Texas wonders to come... it's a whole new world down here in the piney woods!

Off he goes into the wild blue yonder!

Yesterday was Adam's ship date. We took him to the Military Processing Center in downtown Houston.

It was awesome being there with him while he took the oath and swore to defend this country. Then we said our good-byes and he was bussed off to the base in San Antonio. He's going to do awesome! That kid is ready to kick some enemy booty!
On July 2nd we will get to go to his graduation in San Antonio and then he will spend two more weeks there before being shipped all over the country for the next two years to finish training. We can't wait to hear all about it.
